According to reports, the supermajor is continuing discussions despite the field - a project known as Sakhalin-3- having been recently added to the US sanctions’ list against Russia over the Ukraine crisis, effectively restricting US technology exports for use at the Gazprom-operated field.
However, Shell’s head of operation in Russia said on Wednesday that the two players “are continuing at the same pace”, Reuters reported.
