Shell is currently in the process of ramping up its Prelude floating liquefied natural gas development off Western Australia, but the ambitious project has not been without its challenges.

“Something as large, integrated yet compact and complex as Prelude is going to show up some issues and it’s really important that we learn from those not only for the success of Prelude as we move forward but also for other projects around the world,” Prelude vice president Rob Jager told delegates at a Petroleum Club of Western Australia event in Perth last week.
