The company is about to complete drilling of the wildcat well 6406/9-3 on the Onyx South prospect in production licence 255.
According to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), the well hit the Ile, Tofte and Tilje formation with variable reservoir quality.
“A thin gas column was encountered in the Ile formation, but the size of the discovery is not commercially interesting,” NPD stated, adding that the other reservoir rocks were seen to be tight or water-bearing.
