The Anglo-Dutch supermajor is set to spin the bit on the Monterey Jack prospect well in the Shelburne basin before the end of this month, it confirmed on Wednesday.
The oil giant will use the drillship Stena IceMax on the well, located in Exploration Licence (EL) 2424.
The rig last week completed drilling of the Cheshire L-97A well – a sidetrack to the original L-97 probe – also in the Shelburne basin last week.
