Shell said in a statement on Monday that the platform reached Mars B on 20 July and was "safely secured in place last week".
The facility sits just one mile from the company's existing Mars platform in about 3000 feet of water.
The journey was made with the help of several tug boats, which transported the 126,000-tonne TLP from Kiewit Offshore Services' shipyard in Texas where the topsides were installed.
