Both LNG trains were built by Bechtel and each have the capacity to produce 4.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
The project owners - ConocoPhillips, Origin Energy and Sinopec - have downstream contracted LNG volumes of 8.6mtpa for 2018, which equates to about 120 cargoes, said Origin.
Origin's integrated gas chief executive David Baldwin thanked the project workers, the hundreds of landowner partners and the Queensland government "for their tireless support as we worked together to make this transformational project a reality".
