Rudi was arrested last week at his house in South Jakarta and formally charged with accepting bribes of $400,000 by Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He was consequentially removed as executive chairman by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
Two other people in the case were also arrested – his golf instructor Deviardi aka Ardi, and Simon Gunawan Tanjaya, an executive with Singapore-based oil trading firm Kernel Oil.
