Oil Search carried out a drill stem test over the Kirkuk section of the well, however the interval proved tight and failed to flow.
The company noted that pressure declined rapidly during the test and only minor traces of oil were recovered with test fluid.
Oil Search said the test was terminated due to “operational issues” and the tightness of the interval.
