The acreage package includes 35,700 net acres in Howard and Martin counties on the north-east side of the Midland sub-basin as well as current production of 2400 barrels of oil equivalent per day, SM said when announcing the move.
“We have established a position as an outstanding operator in the Midland Basin, and with this acquisition we also establish significant scale,” SM chief executive Javan Ottoson said.
