This is especially the case in areas where there is a ready demand for diesel, naphtha or jet fuel, Neville Hargreaves, business development director Velocys, told Upstream.
Construction has already started on the first commercial GTL facility using Velocys’ technology. Commercial operation of this facility in Oklahoma, US, which will use a mix of landfill gas and natural gas as feedstock, is expected in the first half of 2016.
