Smart Sands, which is backed by Clearlake Capital Group, controls one active sand mine and processing facility in Oakdale, Wisconsin with proved reserves of 244 million tonnes, according to a filing with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC).
The Oakdale facility has current capacity of 3.3 million tonnes per year and has permits to expand production to 9 million tonnes per year, the company said in its SEC
