As part of the settlement with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, the company will plead no contest to a misdemeanor count of failing to immediately report the leak, which began on 23 October 2015 and was sealed in February.
In return, the remaining counts will be dismissed.
The $4.3 million settlement covers $307,500 in penalties, including a maximum fine of $75,000.
