Costs of the overhauls on both the Deltaand another older rig, Songa Trym, at the Coast Center Base yard near Bergenwere reported to have ballooned to Nkr860 million and Nkr1.3 billionrespectively after it was found they required more refurbishment work than wasanticipated.
While Songa initially refused to confirmthe figures, it subsequently issued a statement in which it disclosed that thetotal cost of the Delta upgrade would run to between $130 million and $140million (Nkr748 million and Nkr806 million).
