Technology player Wartsila has signed a five-year technical management and services agreement with Norwegian driller Songa Offshore for a quartet of newbuild rigs operating in the North Sea.
The partnership, which involves real-time digital monitoring, "ensures optimal performance and maximum availability" of the Wartsila engines and thrusters on board four Cat-D type semi-submersible drilling rigs, which operate in extremely harsh conditions.
