London-listed Sound Energy has flowed gas from the TE-7 well at the Tendrara licence onshore Eastern Morocco.

The well achieved a flow rate of 8.8 million cubic feet per day during an initial 24-hour, unstimulated, open hole test of the first 28% of the gross reservoir in the well, with the results above Sound’s estimates.

The test came after Sound announced earlier this month the TE-7 well had hit an estimated 28 metres of net gas pay in the TAGI sandstones.
