The company received final environmental approvals for the drilling of the second Nervesa appraisal well, which was designed to confirm and develop the southern discovery.
Logs of the initial well confirmed 476 metres of gross pay and 239 metres of gross reservoir with 46 metres of net gas pay in 13 separate zones.
Sound is now waiting for drilling authorisation from the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, which is expected later this month.
