The London-listed player struck an estimate total net gas pay of around 28 metres in the TAGI sandstones at the TE-7 well, which spudded in late August.
The well was drilled to a total depth of 3459 metres and a vertical depth of 2611 metres, with a 700-metre horizontal section through the TAGI reservoir.
Sound said the gas shows were “significant” and will now complete the well and perform a rigless extended well test.
