The London-listed junior has appointed Brian Mitchener vice president of exploration, to be based in the UK.
Mitchener has more than 35 years of exploration experience with Norway’s Statoil, BG – now owned by Shell – and UK supermajor BP.
Sound chief executive James Parsons recently indicated to Upstream that the company was hunting for an exploration boss, as it chased exploration success in Morocco.
