US independent Hess has moved its Stampede development in the Gulf of Mexico one step closer to production after the country’s Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) gave it the first all clear.
The agency said it concluded its pre-inspection of the platform topsides for the Hess-operated deep-water project earlier this month.
The new tension leg platform will operate in 3500 feet of water approximately 115 miles south of Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
