Statoil has cancelled an order option at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for a fixed platform that was originally intended for its proposed Bressay heavy oil field development off the UK.
The builder did not identify the company or the intended field development, but Reuters cited an unidentified source as saying it was an option inked by Statoil and previously intended for Bressay, which has already been sent back to the drawing board in any case.
