The latest deal, for which a value was not disclosed, will increase the Norwegian state-owned operator’s interest in licence P312 to 100% after it acquired stakes held by First Oil and Talisman Sinopec last year.
Statoil already operates with a 62% stake production licence 046 on the Norwegian side that holds about 80% of the gas and condensate field’s estimated reserves of 60 million barrels of oil equivalent.
