Statoil may not be done shopping in Brazil after wrapping a multi-billion dollar deal to take over operatorship of the promising Carcara discovery last year, chief executive Eldar Saetre said.

"We are looking into the possibilities to do other transactions or technical support, gas developments, all the areas where we can exchange views," Saetre said at the CeraWeek conference in Houston on Monday.

"We are looking at other similar types of opportunities, maybe more focusing on existing production and also exploration opportunities."
