London-listed company Ithaca Energy has again pushed back the start-up date of the Stella development off the UK.

The Stella field was expected to start production last year but faults on a number of electrical junction boxes on the FPF-1 floating production facility saw Ithaca push back the start-up until January.

The company said Thursday that the inspection and repair programme had been “progressing well”, but challenging offshore weather conditions had slowed down work and first oil was now expected in February.
