Africa-focused Sterling said on Monday it had signed an agreement with private company Petrosoma to acquire half of its 20% stake in the production sharing contract covering the block.
Under the terms of the deal, Sterling will pay $2 million to Petrosoma to assume a 10% interest in Odewayne.
In addition, future payments of $8 million will be based upon the achievement of various operational milestones.
