Louisiana-based Stone has signed a 30-month contract for the dynamically positioned semi-submersible Ensco 8503 at a dayrate of around $350,000, at the low end of analyst predictions.
Stone will have the option to extend the contract term up to an additional 12 months. It can also reduce the term by up to six months if it gives notice by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
