The Anglo-Dutch supermajor said the FPSO Turritella had kicked off the journey this month from Singapore to the Walker Ridge area ahead of planned first oil in 2016.
"Achieving first oil at Stones - in this new Gulf of Mexico frontier - involves taking a measured and strategic approach, growing as we learn more about the reservoir," said Wael Sawan, executive vice president of deep-water for the regions.
