The well was drilled to a planned total 1286 metres, where it was logged and casing was cemented into place.
It intersected the Eagle Ford shale and Buda formation.
The 182-metre core is being sent to a laboratory for testing, the results of which, along with well logs and data taken during drilling, will be used to shore up the design for completion stimulation.
