Local media cited the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) and Construction, Forestry Mining & Energy Union as saying 94% of the more than 1000 members authorised to vote in the secret ballot were in favour of taking industrial action, however a Chevron spokesperson claimed the figure was closer to about 750 votes.
