Speaking to reporters at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Aker Solutions senior vice president Svenn Ivar Fure said the two-train system at Aasgard, which is housed in a single template the size of a football pitch, could be replicated with equipment that can be placed inside “normal” subsea infrastructure.

“Based on this pioneering work, we can now stretch even further to make it more efficient, more compact and cheaper to implement, which will unlock new projects for the industry,” Fure said.
