The 270,000 tonnes of 48-inch diameter line running across Greece will come from Viotia-based Corinth Pipeworks, TAP said.
The Greek firm will work in partnership with Marubeni Itochu Steel.
The 495-kilometre line across Greece will start at the border with Turkey and will subsequently go across Albania to Italy after a short subsea stretch across the Adriatic.
The contract award is the latest to be awarded by TAP since the consortium’s selection last year for the job of carrying gas from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz 2 offshore field to Europe by 2020.
