Technip said on Tuesday that the pair had inked a deal to set up two joint venture companies that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy and Beijing, China.

The joint ventures will perform procurement activities for worldwide onshore and offshore projects, Technip said in a statement.

The pair has been in collaboration for 25 years. Recent work includes a front-end engineering and design contract for the Pacific Northwest LNG facility at Lelu Island in British Columbia, Canada.
