South Korean’s Samsung Construction & Trading (Samsung C&T) and Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) have also shared in the award from Bahrain’s state-owned Oil & Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding).
Teekay, Samsung and GIC have in turn chosen GS Engineering & Construction as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the job.
The project will see Teekay provide a modified floating storage unit (FSU) on a 20-year charter to the joint venture partners at the development in the Hidd industrial area in Bahrain.
