Oslo-listed player TGS is preparing to kick off its first multi-client acquisition project this year that aims to acquire seismic data in the Norwegian Sea, in the single largest 3D survey carried out in Northern Europe.
The ambitious project, dubbed AM17 Atlantic Margin 3D, covers 40,000 square kilometres in the central-southern Norwegian Sea, and area make out of largely open blocks in a relatively under-explored area with limited drilling to date, TGS said.
