The operator of petroleum retention licence 15 in Gulf Province spudded the Antelope-6 probe, partner InterOil said.
Planned total depth at the well is around 2464 metres. Antelope-6 is situated about 2 kilometres east-south-east of Antelope-3.
“The well is designed to provide structural control and reservoir definition on the field’s eastern flank,” InterOil said.
Last month Total hit a gas-bearing structure at its Antelope-4 sidetrack-1 well.
