Upstream first reported earlier this week that the Paris-based supermajor had decided on its preferred development concept for the project, including the crucial issue of where to locate the LNG plant.
Sources told Upstream that the LNG plant would be located at Caution Bay near the capital city of Port Moresby. This is the same location as the ExxonMobil-operated PNG LNG facility.
