The Warro-5ST well hit 130 metres of net gas pay over a 175 metre interval in massive stacked sands.
Transerv noted that the well was still in gas at its total depth of 4422 metres which suggested deeper resources could be present, while re-enforcing previous estimates the field could contain between 8 trillion and 10 trillion cubic feet of gas.
It said the well had deepened the lowest known gas in the field by over 60 metres with the potential for further gas zones to be present in the next 300 metres of underlying, untested interval between the Warr-5ST well’s total depth and the top of the Cadda shale which Transerv considers the base of the prospective section.
