Perth-based Transerv Energy has encountered more gas while drilling the Warro-6 well on the Warro tight gas field in Western Australia.
As of Wednesday, the appraisal well had hit a total depth of 4520 metres and Transerv was preparing to run wireline logs with the bottom of the main reservoir section being reached at 4462.5 metres.
It was reported earlier this week the well encountered strong gas shows in a number of sandstone units below 4147 metres, and on Wednesday Transerv said strong shows had continued to be observed as it drilled deeper.
