Transerv revealed Tuesday drilling on the Warro-6 appraisal well had started over the weekend and was expected to take roughly 25 days to reach a total depth of 4300 metres.

It noted that the recently drilled Warro-5 well, which hit 130 metres of net gas pay over a 175 metre interval, did not penetrate the entire Warro reservoir section despite hitting a total depth of 4422 metres.

As a result, it said the Warro-6 well could be deepened to about 4500 metres, depending on well results and timing.
