High-specification jack-up GSF Constellation I won a one-well contract off the United Arab Emirates where it will work for Abu Dabai-based Bunduq Oil at a dayrate of $104,000.
That is worth about $28 million in backlog for Transocean.
The rig is currently under contract with Total in Indonesia at $150,000 a day through January. The new contract starts in April 2016.
Earlier on Monday, Transocean disclosed themost notable change to its fleet status with delayed delivery of two newbuild drillships - Deepwater Pontus and Deepwater Poseidon - to Shell.
