So far the well has reached 2018 feet of the 11500 feet planned for the first near-vertical section worth $2.1 million. This section will b e electric logged to confirm reservoir quality and gas condensate payzones.
A horizontal section will be drilled up to 2300 feet long and a cemented liner installed using a different rig, on a day-rate contract, once this is completed, Burleson said.
