TSC said it exercised the options following the positive market response for the first rig being built at the yard, A0D-1, which is currently in the final phase of installation and commissioning and due for delivery at the end of the year.
The new rigs will be of the same Zentech R-550D design as A0D-1 and be capable of operating in water depths of up to 400 feet.
