Speaking at the Adipec conference in the key emirate's city, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company's (Adnoc) director general Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi said that Abu Dhabi would continue with its major oil and gas projects, despite the challenges.
"We are continuing with our ambitious oil and gas projects," he claimed.
Al Suwaidi said that the energy industry is constantly changing, with an ever-present cyclical trend.
