Egdon Resources said on Monday that it has formally been issued by the Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) with nine new PEDLs, covering a total of 18 UK National Grid blocks and part blocks with a total area of approximately 1141 square kilometres.
The licences are located in the East Midlands petroleum province and the Cleveland basin and provide “a mix of new conventional and unconventional resource opportunities”, the company said.
In East Midlands, Gainsborough trough, Egdon landed the PEDL273 (with blocks SE31c, SE41e), PEDL305 (SK49, SK59b), PEDL316 (SK89e, SK88b, SK87c).
