The facility, dubbed Ulstein Bridge Vision, has transformed the traditional bridge into a futuristic workspace with a number of user-friendly innovations including optical projections - or "infographics" - of key functions on the panoramic windows that can be remotely controlled by human gestures.
This means that operators can maintain their view of surrounding conditions while observing the system interface.
The human-focused bridge design, based on feedback from users to achieve both improved safety and simplicity, also has ergonomic work stations with multi-positional seats for work either sitting or standing and advanced consoles that can be set up according to user requirements.
