Energy giants GE and Baker Hughes have each received a request from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) for additional information related to the pending oilfield services combination.
"The second requests were expected and are a normal part of the DOJ review process," the companies said in a statement on Monday.
The requests were issued under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, the companies said.
