About 12% of current US Gulf oil production remained shut-in on Friday, compared with more than 15% the day before, according to the latest statistics from the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).
In addition, 6.7% of natural gas production was offline on Friday, compared with 9% on Thursday.
BSEE also said that there were no evacuated platforms or rigs left in the US Gulf, and that the three dynamically positioned rigs that had moved out of the storm's path had returned to their previous locations.
