The total value of oil and gas deals completed in 2016 rose year-on-year despite the volume of deals falling compared to 2015, according to professional services firm Ernst & Young (EY).
According to a report by EY, the deal value in the oil and gas sector in 2016 reached $395 billion, an increase on the $340 billion value recorded the previous year.
