DOF will operate the PSV for Chevron in Australia under an initial four-month contract, with an option to extend the charter for a further four months.
The vessel is one of two PSVs built at Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam which had their original shipbuilding contracts cancelled earlier this year.
Vard said Tuesday it was continuing to explore opportunities to sell the first PSV, while the second vessel is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2016.
