A vessel owned by Indian oilfield services provider GOL Offshore has been “arrested” by UK authorities, after being detained for months for failing to pay its employees.

GOL’s Malaviya Twenty vessel was detained on behalf of International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) on Thursday, inspectors told Upstream. The arrest is over wages owed to the 12-member crew of the vessel.

Malaviya Twenty has been detained in Yarmouth since June.
