The state-owned operator said the world’s first such compression station to be installed on the seabed, delivered by Aker Solutions, has boosted field production by 16 million barrels of oil equivalent over the past year.
The recovery rate from the Midgard and Mikkel reservoirs at the field has been raised from 67% to 87% and from 59% to 84%, respectively, Statoil said.
